FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6TH
The festivities begin as we ask you to continue to support your local businesses at First Friday in Manheim! Compared to chains, locally owned businesses recycle a much larger share of their revenue back into the local economy, supporting a wide range of jobs and enriching the whole community!
Cricket's Performing Arts will be hosting their Sugar Plum Party starting at 6:00pm with dance performances, photo opportunities with the Sugar Plum Fairy herself and delicious goodies. (Small cost) For more information, please visit their website at www.cricketperformingarts.com or call (717) 664-4018. Cricket's Performing Arts is located at 1 North Main Street.
Take in the performers at the Baron Stage as they present....Midsummer/Jersey a hilarious high-octane re-telling of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream set on the boardwalk of a seaside town in modern-day New Jersey. The story is set into motion by the impending marriage of the Governor of New Jersey, the love affairs of four beach-bound high school crushes, a lively crew of fairies and the staff of the local beauty salon (run by Patti Quince and Stylist Nikki Bottom). The night takes a magical, mayhem-filled turn when Oberon--angered by his wife who refuses to buy him a muscle car for his birthday--and the impish Puck arrive on the scene armed with a powerful love-potion-filled flower and a desire for mischief making. With several weddings and the acting careers of six beauticians hanging in the balance, the lovers take to the boardwalk, backed by pop music and an iPhone-obsessed wood sprite. MCHS is located at 400 Adele Avenue.
The Women’s Club of Manheim will also be selling their sugary concoctions of delicious cookies. The one pound cookie trays are available for pick up at Divine Consign, Shaub’s Dry Cleaning and the Manheim Auto Auction.

Whether a business or family looking for a new home, you have to check out Manheim. Regionally convenient between Lancaster, Lebanon, Lititz and Harrisburg you have to see it to fully appreciate the historic architecture, culture and human spirit that is present in Manheim.
With its founding by Henry William Stiegel, Manheim has always enjoyed a strong industrial foundation. Perhaps this together with the Pennsylvania Dutch and German heritage accounts for the sense of strong personal pride presented by its work force.
In 2000 our town sought and obtained status as a Keystone Opportunity Zone. An area on the south east corner of our Borough has Pennsylvania tax incentives for relocating businesses. This applies to state income, real estate and other taxes. Please talk to our Borough officials for details.
In addition, we have obtained status as a Main Street™ community. This status affords opportunity for businesses located in our Main Street / Market Square corridor for façade improvement grants together with the support of a committed volunteer group.
Our school district has routinely achieved national awards for academic excellence and is also known for its acclaimed athletic reputation. Their web site is awesome!
Home also to the world’s largest auto auction, Manheim Auto Auction has visitors passing daily through town on PA Route 72 with a convenient Pennsylvania Turnpike exit very near another regional attraction, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. We invite their guests not to just drive by, but stop in and see our historic borough.
Come visit Manheim. Our businesses, bed and breakfasts, schools and citizens welcome you!
